There will be many congresses and seminars held about
Global warming awareness in 2007 all around the globe, as it is the Year
of this subject.
globalwarming awareness2007 congress
Miami will host public seminar about CO2, which is one of the
causes of Global warming on our Earth - several famous
scientists will come to have discussions and interesting speeches about this
important subject of Awareness of Global warming. Another meeting
will be in Prague, Czech republic, where the scientists will talk about new
ideas, how to educate people, how to be aware of activities, which help to
Global warming. So, now you can see, that 2007 will be
rich for activities which may help to prevent further Global warming.
We hope, there will be continuation in this difficult process to explain how the
Global warming awareness is important for our future.
Medical Consequences of Global Warming
There are serious consequences of global warming to human and animal health, connected to practically every aspect of GW.
The most important are changes in temperature in certain areas, where the established fauna and flora can’t cope with such a different milieu. This, in turn, is causing vanishing of some species and serious damage to the ecosystem. According to a 2007 study by Glasgow University, vanishing of certain plants (resulting from climate changes) from the diet of inhabitants of North Siberia leads to cases of severe malnourishment and lack of basic vitamins.
Another studied case was decline of palm oil plantations at a pacific island, also resulting from climate change. Because the palm oil was the only source of lipids for the islanders, serious hormonal and behavioral changes have been observed (as cholesterol is precursor to body’s most important hormones, including anabolika, and lipids are necessary for proper function of neurotransmitters).
One more obvious result of global warming resulting in medical emergencies is the damage to ozone layer, which is functioning as effective shield against harmful radiation. Skin cancers in humans and eye damage in sheep and other animals have been reported, especially close to poles.
